Spiritual Path to Emotional Wellness

I believe that mental and spiritual health are linked and can be utilized for sustainable, long-term wellness. We are more than our “symptoms,” and I offer a grace-filled approach to help you move through the noise of the world’s expectations and restore yourself into the “still waters” of God’s perspective.

Drawing upon my experience in the business world and as a Board Certified Chaplain, Minister, and Board Certified Counselor, I will provide you with practical solutions grounded in spiritual truths. We’ll replace “shoulds” with a deep, experiential understanding of being fully known and loved by God. I’ll help you identify when your emotions signal the kind of care you need. We’ll identify spiritual practices that work for you and lean into a life-giving connection with God. All of this will help build an emotional framework that endures and thrives through trials, leading to deeper spiritual maturity and lasting peace.

With over two decades of leadership and a Master of Divinity, I understand the unique pressures of the workplace and a deep desire for spiritual alignment. I offer a grace-centered approach for those who lead others but need a safe place to be lead themselves.

Specialties

Christian Counseling for High-Performers

As a leader, you are expected to be the ‘steady anchor’ and often put your own needs aside. I provide a confidential space specifically for high performers to decompress, recalibrate, and address the unique spiritual and mental toll of this kind of responsibility.

  • Confidential Space – a place to process the complex leadership burdens without professional risk.
  • Burnout Prevention – we’ll discuss strategies to help you move from “powering through” to sustainable, grace-filled rhythms.
  • Moral Injury Recovery – you can heal from the soul-deep exhaustion that comes when your values and environment collide.

Biblical Support for ADHD Adults

ADHD can feel like tension between you and your God-given creativity. Executive dysfunction is heavy, and while others may say you’re not focused or disciplined, biblical soul care recognizes that your brain is “fearfully and wonderfully made.” Faith-based support is more than “productivity hacks,” it’s an opportunity to manage overwhelm and the silent cycle of shame with grace. Together, we can transform the negative into a positive through a sustainable, Christ-centered approach.

  • No More Shame – We’ll move from the “I should be doing more” mindset to a deep understanding of your identity in Christ.
  • Energy Management – We’ll develop practical, God-honoring systems for managing time and energy that respect your neurodivergence rather than fight it.
  • Regulation – We’ll face the impulsiveness and emotional upheavals through sustainable scriptural mindfulness and prayerful pauses.
  • Purposeful Alignment – We’ll harness your ADHD traits – hyperfocus, empathy, and out-of-the-box thinking – and identify them as your spiritual gifts for community and work.
  • Rest as Worship – Rest is not a reward for completing your to-do list; it is a required grace-based practice for living, especially when your brain rarely stops.

Moral Injury in the Workplace

Work can sometimes feel like a place of spiritual and psychological conflict, especially when you must witness or participate in actions beyond your control and at odds with your belief system. This type of “moral injury” is different than burnout; it’s a wound to the soul that happens when your environment betrays your sense of what is right. Addressing it through a faith-based context requires a journey to reconciliation, the restoration of your integrity, and finding a way to serve God within flawed systems.

  • Lament and Validation – We’ll honestly name the betrayal and grief caused by ethical compromises in your profession.
  • Identity Anchoring – The culture or failures of your organization do not define you; we’ll re-establish and solidify the cornerstone of your worth in your identity as a child of God.
  • Ethical Reset – We’ll use Scripture to discern where to set health boundaries, when to speak truth to power, and how to stay true to your beliefs before God.
  • Reconcilitation – Guilt and shame often follow a breach of morality, and through the lens of grace, we will find a way forward through forgiveness and spiritual renewal.
  • Long-term strategy – together, we’ll determine which spiritual practice works best for you so your decision-making prioritizes your spiritual health.

Biblical Grief Counseling & Loss Support

Grief often feels like a journey in the wilderness that challenges your very foundation of faith. While the world wants us to “move on” or find peace, biblical grief counseling makes space for the holy practice of lament. God is present for our most basic questions and deepest aches. Christ knows what it means to feel deep loss and sorrow. My approach provides a compassionate companion for this journey, helping you navigate the fog of loss while anchoring your soul in the enduring hope and comfort of Christ.

  • Honest Lament – I offer a safe, judgment-free space to express anger, confusion, and sorrow to God, based on the honesty found in the Psalms.
  • Identity Restoration – We’ll explore the “who am I now?” that follows a major loss, helping you to build a life that honors what was lost while embracing God’s purpose for you.
  • Sorrow without Despair – I’ll help you learn how to hold both the tension of deep sadness alongside the “hope that does not disappoint,” preventing grief from hardening into a loss of faith.
  • The Flow of Grace – We’ll develop gentle, manageable daily practices to address the “grief brain” and decision-making fatigue that often follow a major life change.
  • The Comfort of Presence – Together, we’ll move beyond cliches to experience the quiet and sustaining presence of the Holy Spirit as the “Comforter” in your loneliest moments.

Biblical Soul Care for Women in Transition

Whether you are facing an empty nest, a career change, a relocation, a shift in marital status, or are frustrated with the changes a midlife woman faces, I can help you lean into your identity in Christ and become the woman you are meant to be now. It’s easy to feel as if the ground is shifting beneath your feet, leading you to a quiet “identity crisis” that friends and family may not fully see. Biblical Soul Care is about rediscovery and turning a season of uncertainty into an intentional time of spiritual renewal and personal growth.

  • Identity Beyond Roles – Moving from “who I was” to a deeper understanding of your unchanging worth as a daughter of God, regardless of your current season or title.
  • Managing “transition anxiety” – Replace the frantic need to control the future with scriptural rhythms that foster peace and trust in God’s power.
  • Discern New Callings – We’ll use prayerful reflection to identify the unique gifts and opportunities God is opening up for you in this new chapter of life.
  • Grieving the “Before” – Any change is a loss; acknowledging it and allowing a healthy period of reflection will help you move forward with a clear heart.
  • Sustainable Self-Care – Self-care isn’t simply a manicure or a massage; it’s setting spiritual and emotional boundaries that prevent “helper burnout” during times of family or personal upheaval.

Pastoral Care for the Special Needs Journey

The journey of a special needs parent or caregiver is often a walk through a unique kind of isolation – the kind where the joys are profound, but the “daily grind” is spiritually and physically exhausting. Beyond the appointments and meetings lies a soul that needs to be seen and nourished. This isn’t about offering easy answers or “fixing” your family’s reality; it’s about walking alongside you in the tension of love and weariness. It’s a space where grief, questions for God, and advocacy are met with the grace of a Savior who specializes in seeing the overlooked and tired.

  • Sorrow and Celebration – This life is complex; it’s a “dual-track” of grieving milestones while celebrating the victories of your loved one.
  • Silence for the “why” – Creating a safe, non-judgmental space to bring your hardest questions to God without the pressure to maintain a “perfectly faithful” exterior.
  • The Theology of Disability – We’ll reclaim the truth that every individual – regardless of ability – is a masterpiece designed by God for God’s glory and the community’s benefit.
  • Combating Caregiver Isolation – We’ll develop spiritual strategies to stay connected to your faith and community when traditional church attendance or social rhythms feel impossible.
  • Rest as a Spiritual Discipline – We’ll discover ways to practice “Soul Rest” even when physical respite is scarce.
